While reading my latest copy of American Craft (yes I subscribe to the PAPER version of an american magazine, but can I say, only after a major shift in their focus, image and editorial slant making it into a great great magazine which I hope justifies the paper and shipping…) reading sabrina gschwandtner‘s article ‘Let ‘em eat cake’ on DIY craft I came across this interesting lady Stephanie Syjuco Read more »

great northern contemporary craft fair
I know it’s a long name, but this is the first year of the show and hopefully next year people will recognise GNCCF instead!! Anyway, I’ll be exhibiting there 23 – 26 October on stand M31 in Manchester Grammar School, Fallowfield, Manchester. I’m busy preparing work for the show now as well as preparing for the start of term at MMU and my residency in Guldagergaard, Denmark – all very exciting!!

Great blog I discovered today from this is love forever - wonderful pics of salvage yard in Berkley if you scroll to the bottom. Love it. Will be reading much more often!
And through this I’ve found one of my favourite collections of pictures ever… You’ve got to see this – brilliantly original homes…

sophie callaghan
I saw this very talented girls work at New Designers and loved it. Working with recycled clothing she makes a collection of fantastic characters with intricate hand embroidery. They are all part of a charity craft project and £5 from each sale goes to ‘Invisible Children’ – a charity set up to help children abducted and used as child soldiers in Uganda.
Go buy them now at her folksy shop …
Tony is my favourite…
